THE POPSCAST…

“The PopsCast was birthed out being forced out of our comfort zone. Ironically, I never thought that my experiences as a dad needed a platform to be blasted out to the world. I thought, “Who wants to hear what I have to say” or “I’m not an authority on fatherhood, I’m not qualified to give my advice”. At that moment, it was realized that wasn’t what this was about, it’s about sharing experiences with other men. It’s our visual & auditory representation of Modern Day Fatherhood in an unfiltered yet informed format from two dads trying to figure it all out!

To be fully transparent, there are SO MANY women’s groups, services, blogs and omoms out there, but I noticed the men’s parental support information was a lot harder to find and somewhat underrepresented. If there was information, it wasn’t presented in a digestible format that I could relate to. My palate consists of hip hop & sneakers, with nostalgic flavors & seasonings of black & brown culture.

The mission for The PopsCast is to discuss music, fashion & sneakers, technology, pop culture, but most importantly fatherhood. We always highlight the honorable men out there, especially dads, and we feature guests that are aligned with our values as evolved and involved men aka Hip Pops. You will get unfiltered opinions, experiences, vulnerability and maybe advice or best practices no matter what stage of parenting you are in. We made & still make mistakes as a dad, and through this process, I’ve learned that others make the same fumbles and have similar concerns as I me, now we can have a safe space for conversations and help each other through this incredible experience as dads.
